UNREAL! NFL Player Whines About “Systemic Oppression” Right After His Team Goes To 0-5
Again, you can’t make a lot of this stuff up!
One would think San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid might want to focus on, you know, football. But who has time for that, you know?
Yesterday, his team lost 26-23 on the road to the Indianapolis Colts in overtime. For the 49ers, Colin Kaepernick’s pre-unemployment team, it was their fifth loss in five games this year, as well as their 30th loss in 36 games going back to the 2015 season.
But Reid’s mind apparently was on Vice President Pence leaving yesterday’s game around its start time, after Reid and 22 other 49ers disrespected the American flag by kneeling during the National Anthem.
After the loss, Reid’s mind was on the public relations implications of Vice President’s departure.
According to USA Today, Reid said, “This looks like a PR stunt to me. He knew we had the most players protest. He knew that we were probably going to do it again.”
Reid, who is making $5,676,000 this season, then went into full-fledged-victim mode:
“And so, this is what systemic oppression looks like. A man with power comes to the game, tweets a couple things out and leaves the game, with an attempt to thwart our efforts.”
